In the current alphabet, the letter 'Q' is redundantly wasted on the /k/ sound, which is already represented by the 'k' character. 7M-English stops this Tom-foolery by reassigning it to the /oo/ sound. Think of an 'O' which makes the /oh/ sound but adding a tail to it so that it makes the /oo/ sound.
