The 'R' character is now called 'er'. It is a vowel! We know that it is a vowel because it can be voiced by the vocal cords continuously until you run out of breath and it remains consistent throughout. It still makes the same /er/ sound as it always has.
This sound is found in words like:
mother
dirt
nerd
hurt
word
Since the 'R' literally IS the /er/ sound, 7M-English uses ONLY the 'R' whenever that sound occurs in a word. For example; 'mother' is spelled 'muѣr'. An 'e' in front of the 'r' would change the sound to 'air'. By the way, 'air' is spelled 'er' in 7M-English. When you say the name of our planet, you make just TWO speech sounds. That's why 7M spells (Earth) 'Rћ'. Two Sounds = Two letters and it's that way for EVERY word! Every letter stands for a sound.
